Baidu announced yesterday that it’s going to release Breeze 3.0 algorithm update in late October, to “promote download user experience and boost positive development of download industry ecology”.
According to Baidu’s statement, Breeze 3.0 will include following basic criteria for download sites:
- No malicious programs embedded into software;
- No fake downloads, software from the sites must be consistent to its title and description;
- No inductive ad buttons which look like the download buttons;
- “Safe download” or “express download” services are permitted – such download services often automatically download other applications which are usually neglected by users, but such services must be clearly described.
Besides, Breeze 3.0 will also contain Breeze 2.0 and Breeze 1.0 algorithm updates, which were released successively mainly against fake downloads, fake titles and keyword stuffing.
